It’s a good way of creating a memory. The day includes embroidery and other ways of of embellishment. A half day course for those who want to try their hand at this traditional craft. By the time you leave you will have learned how to make proddy (clippy) and hooky mats. The session will be very much tailored to individual needs. Lots of samples, inspiration and cake! Half term week, so young people are welcome.Find out more »
All over the world a simple running stitch has been used in the making, mending and embellishing fabric, particularly clothing. Looking at vintage items and samples from different parts of the world. The way in which stitch has been used to hold cloth together, whether it be darning or decoration will inform the items we make during the day.
